The art of successful design

A block of land is like a blank canvas.
There is a defined space available, and countless ways to use it.

One aspect of excellent home design – like great art – is to push the boundaries to create something truly evocative, timeless and unique.

Yet, a home must do more than simply make an aesthetic statement, and this is where the art of successful design really comes into play, as the designer works to create the perfect combination of liveability and functionality, style and beauty.

It is the life and lifestyle of each owner that creates the “palette” from which we work – a wish list of design elements that might include children’s play rooms, entertaining areas, quiet adult spaces, a light-filled kitchen, a pool… the list goes on.

Overlay this with the client’s own style preferences, and a picture begins to emerge.

It’s then that the designer and builder work to bring the dream to reality – creating a home that perfectly blends form and function in a way that truly expresses the owner’s unique life and style.
